This year too, thanks to the sun and mild temperatures, the usual Open Day took place at Cartiere di Trevi, an increasingly awaited event, which allowed over 250 visitors, including many families with children, to experience an unique experience to discover paper recycling. With the support of our technicians, participants had the opportunity to closely observe the complex process of transforming paper and cardboard waste into new recycled paper products, which are the pride of our company.

From 3 to 6 September, we participated as exhibitors at the Paper Arabia 2024 fair held in Dubai. This annual event, which attracts leading companies in the tissue paper, toilet paper, recycled paper, virgin fiber or cellulose paper and packaging sectors, was a valuable opportunity to showcase the vast range of sustainable products that our company has developed over the years.

During the recycling week, Paper Week Comieco: over 100 Umbrian students had the opportunity to visit the Trevi paper mill as part of Paper Week, an initiative aimed to promote the recycling and separate collection of paper in Italy, organized by Comieco.

We opened the gates of the paper mill once again to visitors. A public event with free registration dedicated to the production of recycled paper. The fifth edition of this initiative attracted citizens, families, businesses, institutions, and associations interested in seeing and learning about all the stages of the paper recycling process that takes place at the mill.

We succeeded! Here is our new “Carbon Black” recycled paper, an innovation in the paper industry due to its unique color and high technical performance. Produced using 100% materials from recycled paper collection, this paper was designed to meet market demand for recyclable black recycled paper.

Even though we are among the best in the world with 52 kg collected per person, old newspapers, boxes, and cartons are not waste but valuable raw materials sourced from waste separation. The new European recycling target is 85% by 2035.
